Here’s how to get started on the path to a healthier smile
Step 1. Verify your coverage
Log in to your account to find benefits information, coverage details, eligibility and more. You can also sign up to receive electronic communications. Click here if you need to register for a member account. Please reference our member portal instructions (PDF).
Review your summary plan description. Every plan is different, so learn more about what dental services are covered. You can also ask your dentist to submit a pre-treatment estimate so you understand your financial responsibility upfront.
Step 2. Find a dentist
Use our website to search for a dentist. Here is a guide to help you through the steps (PDF).
You can verify your current dentist participates in our network by verify by calling your dentist directly or contacting Delta Dental Customer Service. If your dentist does not participate with Delta Dental, please nominate your dentist (PDF).
Step 3. Schedule an appointment
Schedule regular preventive visits with your dentist to keep your smile healthy.
While you do not need your ID card at the time of your visit, you can print your ID card through your account or use the Delta Dental free mobile app and pull up your ID card on your smartphone.
Step 4. Access your claims summary and Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
After visiting the dentist, if there’s an amount payable by you, you will receive an EOB from Delta Dental of South Carolina. Your EOB provides a breakdown on the procedures performed and what is covered by your dental plan. You can also access your EOB by logging in to your member account and viewing your claims summary.
