Become a Participating Provider
If you are a licensed dentist in South Carolina, you are eligible to participate with Delta Dental of South Carolina. Participation means you will be considered an in-network provider for patients who are members of any Delta Dental plan nationwide. For example, a company may be headquartered in Michigan, and some of its employees live in South Carolina. A dentist who participates with Delta Dental of South Carolina is considered an in-network dentist for that person.
In most Delta Dental benefit plans, a member may go to any dentist – in network or out-of-network – but they will typically pay lower out-of-pocket costs when they go to a dentist who is in one of our networks. Our professional relations team can help your office understand the exact benefits for your Delta Dental member patients.
Network options include:
Delta Dental Premier® network is our largest, broadest network in which dentists agree to accept payment based on Delta Dental’s maximum plan allowance (MPA). Participating dentists receive accurate and fast reimbursement for covered claims directly from Delta Dental. They collect co-payments, deductibles and charges for non-covered services from their Delta Dental member patients.
Delta Dental PPOSM network is our preferred provider network. The Delta Dental PPOSM network is a subset of the Delta Dental Premier® network, since all of our PPO dentists are also Premier dentists. These dentists agree to accept the PPO fee schedule as payment in full for their services, when their patients are covered by a Delta Dental PPO plan. Participating dentists receive accurate and fast reimbursement for covered claims directly from Delta Dental. They collect co-payments, deductibles and charges for non-covered services for their patients.
