ST. LOUIS, MO (Feb. 10, 2016) – Delta Dental of Missouri, doing business in South Carolina as Delta Dental of South Carolina, announced that Jonathan Jennings, of Lincoln, Neb., has been named the organization’s new chief actuary and vice president of underwriting. Jennings succeeds Rob Goren, who served in this position for six years before being promoted to president and CEO in August of last year. Jennings will be responsible for the actuarial, underwriting and client reporting departments at Delta Dental of South Carolina and its subsidiaries.

Jennings brings with him more than a decade of actuarial and underwriting experience specific to the dental insurance industry. Prior to his time with Ameritas, he worked for Lincoln Benefit Life.

“Jon is an experienced and capable leader who will play a key role as we work to enhance our position in the marketplace and further our mission of improving the oral health in our communities through increased access to care,” said Rob Goren, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Missouri.

Jennings is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physics, graduating magna cum laude from the Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
